Configure your Managed VPS

Management is billed as an extra line item equal to the sum of the CPU + RAM + primary disk cost. A managed server starts at 2 vCores, 4 GB of RAM and 100 GB of disk, always includes a backup disk of twice the primary disk and a cPanel license.

A managed server always gets a second disk of twice the primary disk, dedicated to the local backups of your cPanel accounts. It cannot be disabled.

Every Managed VPS ships with WHM + cPanel, licensed by number of accounts. Start with Admin Cloud (up to 5 accounts) and change tiers whenever you need, up to 1000 accounts.

Without JetBackup, backups are stored on the backup disk, run every 24 hours and can only be restored as the whole cPanel account. With JetBackup, backups are shipped to a remote datacenter, run every 6 hours and are granular: you can restore just one mail account, one file or one database. On a managed server JetBackup always includes remote storage for those copies: pick the quota (from 500 GB to 4 TB) and its price adds to the license (€10/month).

Recommended when you will host content you have no control over. It includes CageFS, which jails every cPanel account: without that jail, an attacker who compromises one website can snoop on the other panel accounts and even escalate privileges up to root. It also lets you cap the CPU and RAM of each cPanel account.

Highly recommended. It is a WAF and a real-time antivirus: it scans everything uploaded via FTP, forms or SQL injections and cleans it automatically. We also recommend it for port filtering.

Alternative web server to Apache. Without LiteSpeed you get Apache with PHP-FPM; with LiteSpeed, LSAPI is used instead and you can enable LSCache in your CMS (WordPress, PrestaShop…) and apply .htaccess-level rules such as country or reCAPTCHA filtering.

    Who is a Managed VPS for?
    For anyone who needs the power of a server dedicated to their websites but doesn't want (or isn't able) to manage a Linux system: agencies, designers, online stores and projects that have outgrown shared hosting. If you have sysadmin skills and prefer full control, a pay-per-use VPS will be better value.
    How is the price calculated?
    By adding up the resources you pick in the configurator (CPU, RAM and disks, at the same per-unit prices as an unmanaged VPS), a management line item equal to the sum of the CPU + RAM + primary disk cost, the cPanel license and any optional licenses. Everything is billed hourly against your balance: the monthly price you see is a 720-hour projection. The minimum configuration (2 vCores, 4 GB, 100 GB + 200 GB backup disk and cPanel Admin Cloud) comes to €85/month.
    Why does it always include a backup disk?
    Every managed server includes a second disk of twice the size of the primary one, dedicated to the local backups of your cPanel accounts: backups never compete for the space of your websites. If you add JetBackup, copies also ship every 6 hours to its own remote storage (you pick the quota, from 500 GB to 4 TB) and you can restore just one file, one database or one mailbox.
    Do I get root access to the server?
    Yes. The installation email includes instructions to log in as root. The server is yours; we manage it, but we don't lock any doors.
    Can I install additional software?
    Managed servers run cPanel, and it is important that all installed software is certified and compatible with it: an uncertified service can work for months and suddenly break with a cPanel update, putting your project at risk. If you need to install something "special", contact us and we'll talk it through.
    How long does delivery take? And migration?
    Every Managed VPS is configured individually for each customer, and even so delivery takes under 2 hours. If you are coming from another provider, we migrate your project with no downtime: order in the morning and by midday your website is running on the new server.
    Where are the servers located?
    In the Digital Realty datacenter in Madrid (formerly Interxion), the most prestigious in Spain, which also hosts servers for companies like Google, Facebook and Netflix. Our room, our racks and our network: under 1 ms to any Spanish ISP.
    Can the VPS resources be upgraded?
    Yes, automatically from the Manager and independently: just CPU, just RAM or just disk. On a managed server the minimums stay in place (2 vCores, 4 GB, 100 GB), the backup disk grows on its own to remain twice the primary disk and the management fee is recalculated with the new resources. The only technical limitation is that a disk cannot be shrunk: a downgrade requires reinstalling the VPS from scratch.
    Do I need to open ports? Is the IP dedicated?
    Our network is open and we don't block any port: install your application and it will respond directly (remember to check the server's firewall). Every VPS ships with a dedicated public IP shared with no one: every port is exclusively yours.
    How does it differ from Multi-Domain Hosting?
    Multi-Domain Hosting lives on a shared server managed by us and is priced by storage and accounts: ideal to get started. A Managed VPS is a whole server for you, with dedicated resources, its own IP, root access and licences tailored to you. When multi-domain hosting gets too small, this is the natural next step.
